Workshop Titles
This page is being updated to reflect the new science program and for consistent formatting. Thank you for your patience.

The AMWA core program is designed to improve the skills of medical communicators and consists of general workshops and specialty workshops.  A certificate can be earned in 1 or more of 5 specialty area:  Editing/Writing , Educators , Freelance , Pharmaceutical and Public Relations/Advertising/Marketing. Enrollment in the core program is required if participants are to receive credit for completed workshops. After enrolling, participants have 6 years to complete certificate requirements. A core certificate may be earned by the satisfactory completion of 4 general workshops plus 4 workshops from 1 of the specialty areas. There are many workshops to choose from in both the general and specialty areas. Workshops may be taken in any order during the 6-year period; some workshops are applicable to more than 1 specialty.  Many advanced workshops have core workshop prerequisites. Therefore, in choosing core workshops, participants may wish to consider which advanced workshops they may eventually wish to take.
