ANNUAL CONFERENCE INFORMATION

July 21, 11:00 AM Eastern Time
Mark your calendars and set your alarm to register for AMWA’s 68th Annual Conference! Registration will open both online and through an easy-to-print form on AMWA’s Web site. You can also download the registration brochure from the online form to assist you during the process. Included in your registration fee are 39 open sessions, 2 receptions, breakfast with the exhibitors, refreshments and snacks in the hospitality area, Creative Readings, and Walking and Running With AMWA. In addition, the new AMWA Pavilion will feature free blood pressure checks, BMI tests, and more as an added healthy bonus for AMWA attendees. Also new this year will be the complimentary cybercafé, so keeping in touch with your office or home will be easy. Staying refreshed in sessions will be effortless since all attendees will receive a collapsible, BPA-free water bottle; water coolers to fill those bottles will be placed throughout the hotel. This year’s conference is bigger, better, greener, and healthier than ever before so don’t delay, make plans to attend today!

You’ll Need a Room
Hotel reservations at the Galt House Hotel & Suites will also open at 11:00 AM on July 21. Information and a link for making your hotel reservation will be available on our Web site. Please identify yourself as an AMWA conference attendee to receive the special conference rate. AMWA conference rates are a low $119 for the Rivue Tower and $135 for the Suites Tower. Most rooms have 2 double beds. The suites also have sleeper sofas, making it easy to double- or triple-up with friends or colleagues!

Please Help Us to Help You!
Registrations are processed in the order in which they are received. If you register online and receive an e-mail confirming that your registration was received, please do not call or e-mail headquarters to double-check. Responding to such inquiries delays the processing of the hundreds of annual conference registrations received at headquarters during the first week of registration. Your help and consideration are greatly appreciated.

Discover Louisville and the Commonwealth of Kentucky
AMWA has lined up several unique tours designed to showcase the rich heritage and tradition of Louisville and the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The deadline for reserving your space with the tour company is September 24. We highly recommend that you make your reservations in advance because the tour company requires that a minimum number of tickets be sold for a tour to be run.

What’s in It for Me?
Are you a long-time AMWA member? Have you completed the requirements for a core or advanced certificate? Do you think the annual conference holds nothing new for you? Think again! As the medical communication profession continues to move forward, AMWA’s annual conference is moving right along with it by delivering even more quality education and networking opportunities to attendees. Check out AMWA’s Web site and see “What’s at AMWA’s 68th Annual Conference for you!

Let your “other writer” side be known and make plans to join in!
